Welcome to my blog!

Here I am. My name is Kathy also known as honey, mommy, hey you, sista, puddins, silly head, ...oh the list goes on. Call me what ya want as long as it's nice! My family and I have our stomping grounds in Winchester, VA. My husband and my boys are what move me and steal my heart at any given moment.

As our journey as a family began many moons ago I knew I wanted it captured and bottled up for everyone to remember. I'm famous among friends and family for taking my camera everywhere for as long as I can remember. It was after the birth of our first son that I discovered my newfound passion. Not necessarily photography...that's always kinda been there. I knew I've always wanted to be around children and to be able to connect with them through my lens is the most amazing reward for me.

I always loved the pictures that my parents had of me or my siblings where we actually showed our true emotions. I am not your traditional portrait photographer. I want my images to tell a story. I want to capture the true emotions and life's genuine moments. I especially love capturing children's eyes. Their eyes tell the story and express the essence of what is in their heart and soul at that moment in time. I always say just let them BE. Why make them act or be who they or not?
